Russell Westbrook Jr. was born on November 12, 1988, at Long Beach California. Standing 6′ 3″ and weighing 200 lbs. He played college basketball at UCLA Bruins (2006-08).
In his freshman year, he is a back up point guard to Darren Collison. He is been used as a defender and a spark plug for energy in his team. He later became the starter when Collison was injured, and he averages 12.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.6 steals. He was named All-Pac 10 Third Team and won Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year.

After two years in UCLA, he decided to be drafted in NBA and he was selected Fourth Pick Overall in 2008 NBA Draft by the Seattle Supersonics, that changed name after six days to Oklahoma City Thunder.
